The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has published the 2024-2025 update to the Arizona Health Improvement Plan (AzHIP). Televeda's partnership with ADHS continues to grow beyond our initial project stage.
The updates to the plan include reflecting on progress made and setting goals for the next two years. Read about the updates here.
The AzHIP provides a structure to collectively improve the health of communities and individuals throughout Arizona. The AzHIP 2021-2025 plan is now in the fourth year of its five-year implementation period. The plan’s development and implementation is community informed, data- driven, and includes participation by a broad set of community partners. Televeda is one of the community partners.
The AzHIP includes five priorities: health equity, social determinants of health, mental well-being, rural and urban underserved populations, and pandemic recovery and resiliency. All of the priorities were updated, except for the pandemic recovery and resiliency priority, which was published more recently.
Televeda's involvement with the project is included in the report in certain sections to help with different tactics.
One tactic we are helping support is to promote resources and strategies accessible to persons identifying as lonely or experiencing social isolation. We are also promoting awareness and resources of social isolation issues among stakeholders by sharing AzHIP projects with other AzHIP stakeholders and outside groups. And encouraging implementation team members to share AzHIP partner projects. This will ensure the growth of the project.
Televeda is also helping to support community-cased projects that provide telehealth opportunities for select rural/underserved populations to acquire a sense of community and belonging.
